Is Your Septic System up to Code?
A report by the Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations (FOCA) suggests that septic systems in Ontario are in need of reinspection. Based on data collected by ESSE, a waste management company, more than 40% of the systems they serviced between 2015-2017 were deficient. Add to that the fact that more than half of the septic systems in the province were installed over 20 years ago and you have the potential for serious issues. Septic systems are often taken for granted, but because they are in constant use they need to be maintained to ensure proper function. Read more about the benefits of reinspection here.
