Boosting the Ecosystem Recovery From the Henvey Inlet July 2018 Fire
In the summer of 2018, the Parry Sound 33 wildfire devastated over 11,000 hectares of ecologically important Georgian Bay coastal habitat. Scientists from McMaster University are taking action to kick start parts of the ecosystem to help iconic species such as turtles and snakes recover from this devastating fire.
MNRF is still refusing to release the fire investigation report and we will get a final decision on the GBA freedom of information request later this year.
