To research and advise the Board and our members about new as well as ongoing issues in the areas Boating, Safety and Emergencies with a focus on safe and responsible boating practices.
To act as liaison with the OPP (and when appropriate other emergency service providers such as ORNGE and the Canadian Coast Guard), as well as maintaining and developing this long standing relation with a particular focus on emergency response advice to address the needs of a growing aging population within our membership.
To act as liaison with the boating community in general and to represent the GBA at various regulatory, industry or user groups including: the Canadian Marine Advisory Council (CMAC), Ontario Regional Boating Advisory Committee (ORBAC), the Safe Boating Council and other standing or ad hoc committees or associations as may be appropriate
