Ontario Government Uses Pandemic Provisions to Increase Misuse of MZOs
In another demonstration of the Ontario government’s disdain for proper environmental assessments and planning processes, Bill 257 will expand the ability to misuse Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) to bypass due process and potentially destroy more wetlands and other environmentally sensitive habitats. GBA will continue to work with our colleagues at Environmental Defence, EcoJustice and Ontario Nature to draw attention to these heinous actions.
